Betsy Quint-Feldman

Dear Mrs. Bistritzky and Family,
My best friend went to Ramaz and each Pesach her family bought their foods in advance, at your Pesach store. I once accompanied them and I was very impressed by your business. My father was not religious, but I was raised on the Upper East Side, in a German Jewish neighborhood, and my mother’s best friends were Hitler refugees.
When I graduated college, I took an apartment on the Lower East Side for a few months. I used to shop in your store and one day Leibel invited me to a family wedding and I went. I was fascinated by all that I experienced that day. It was the first time that I ever saw a Jewish wedding that was so frum.
Leibel was the kind of person who radiated kindess, generosity, and holiness. Someone like that will surely live forever in paradise. I never forgot him. He is the kind of person who only comes around once in a million years. His spirit was so good, good, good.
I join you in celebrating his life and mourning his death. He was a very influential person and he was a giant in the Chassidic community.
I received the information about his passing from my rebbetzin, Chaya Sasonkin, of Chabad of Patchogue. I had once mentioned his name to her and she remembered that so she sent me the article.
I wish your whole family nothing but the best that this life has to offer. May the Almighty watch over you and guard your health.
Sincerely,
Betsy Quint-Feldman
